Senior Director of Live Entertainment Sales at Cast & Crew
Some careers are built around titles. Others are built around the people you serve.
When Lizette Gomez joined Cast & Crew in 2011, she expected to stay for a year. A recent journalism graduate from Cal State Northridge, she had imagined a career interviewing athletes or musicians, not working in entertainment payroll. But what began as a temporary stop soon became a place where she discovered new opportunities to grow.
Lizette started as a procurement card coordinator, helping launch what was then a new pilot program. From there, she moved into a sales coordinator role supporting the Feature Film & Television team, where she became the connection point between clients, sales, and internal teams.
As Cast & Crew continued to grow, so did Lizette's curiosity. When the company expanded into live entertainment through the acquisition of CAPS Payroll, she saw an opportunity to combine her passion for music with her professional experience. In 2018, she joined the Live Entertainment division, where she now serves as Senior Director of Sales.
"I always loved music," Lizette says. "When I saw that we worked with tours, festivals, and venues, it really sparked my interest."
Throughout every stage of her career, her commitment to helping others succeed has remained a constant. "I've always wanted to make people's lives easier," she says. "Whether it was my managers, my teammates, or my clients, I wanted to learn, help, and keep things moving forward."
That mindset has shaped not only the way she approaches her work, but also the relationships she has built along the way. Over 15 years, coworkers have become lifelong friends, clients have become trusted partners, and the connections she's made continue long after projects have ended.
"I've been of service to the company, to my teams, and to my clients," Lizette says. "I want people to know they can count on me."
Looking back, one of the things Lizette is most proud of isn't a single project or milestone, but the career she's built over time. Starting in an entry-level role, she embraced each opportunity to learn, took on new responsibilities, and continued growing alongside the company.
"When people hear I've been here this long, they always say that's rare," she says. "I've worked for it, but it's also been recognized by the company, and I've been able to keep growing."
That growth has only reinforced what first kept her here. While technology, products, and the entertainment industry continue to evolve, Lizette believes the relationships behind the work will always matter most.
"I've always felt like I've built relationships naturally," she says. "It's about showing up for people."
Fifteen years after planning to stay for just one, Lizette still sees her career through that same lens. Success isn't measured simply by the work that's completed, but by the trust that's earned, the people you've supported, and the relationships that continue long after the job is done.
