The Sundance Film Festival is inviting pitches from cities across the United States to become its permanent home starting in 2027. The Archival Producers Alliance (APA) is crafting guidelines for employing generative artificial intelligence in documentaries to combat concerns about "fake archival" materials. An initial draft was unveiled at the International Documentary Association conference, and the APA intends to refine it with stakeholder feedback by summer 2024.

Ampere Analysis notes substantial growth for streaming platforms with NFL rights, notably Paramount+ and Peacock, credited to Super Bowl football coverage. Platforms airing NFL games experienced a 14% rise in monthly active viewers from Q3 2023 to Q1 2024, surpassing SVoD platforms' overall growth, showcasing the effectiveness of sports streaming strategies.

Filming in Scotland: New Major Film and TV Campus 
Stirling, Scotland, will host a new film and TV studio campus backed by the council and situated on former Ministry of Defence land. With 100,000 square feet of studio space, it enhances Scotland's appeal as a filming hub. The project is forecasted to generate more than 4,000 jobs across sectors in 25 years, addressing current production gaps.
