Ads are becoming vital for large streamers. PwC predicts they'll make up 28% of streaming revenue by 2028, up from 20% in 2023. The entertainment industry is set to hit $3.4 trillion by 2028, with global OTT subscriptions reaching 2.1 billion, though subscription revenue per user will grow modestly.

Diversity at the Emmys: Strides in Representation Among This Year’s Nominations 
This week, the Television Academy announced the nominations for the 76th Emmy Awards, showcasing strides in diversity. Thirty-four performers from diverse backgrounds were nominated, with notable mentions for Lily Gladstone and Kali Reis as the first indigenous women nominated for Lead Actress and Supporting Actress categories.

AI at the Olympics: Google Plans To Include AI Tools in Paris Coverage 
NBC has teamed up with Google for the Paris Olympics to enhance coverage using Google's AI tools. Leslie Jones, NBC’s "chief superfan commentator," will utilize Google Gemini to explore new sports, supported by Google's AI Overview for detailed explanations during primetime broadcasts.

Creating the Camden Film Quarter: New Plans To Boost London Production 
Plans have been unveiled for Camden Film Quarter, a new film and TV studio development in Kentish Town, London, spearheaded by Yoo Capital. The project will include soundstages, a National Film and TV School campus, housing, workspaces, and public amenities. Detailed designs are anticipated by year-end, with construction slated to start in the latter half of 2025.

AFM in Vegas: Exhibitors Ready for New Market Location 
The American Film Market's relocation to Las Vegas for its 45th edition has been well-received, with early registrations surpassing previous years. Currently, 145 companies from 25 countries have secured spaces for the event, scheduled for November 5-10 at the Palm Casino Resort.
