Geena Davis accepted Variety’s Creative Impact in Leadership Award at the Bentonville Film Festival on June 10 for her years of activism in the entertainment industry. She founded the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media in 2004, significantly influencing gender representation. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Bentonville Film Festival, which she co-founded to elevate underrepresented voices.
