The 76th Primetime Emmy Awards drew 6.87 million viewers, a 60% increase from the strike-delayed January show and the largest audience in three years. Despite competition from NFL games and 60 Minutes, major wins went to The Bear, Shōgun, and Hacks.

At the 35th Cartoon Forum in Toulouse, public broadcasters took center stage as streaming investments in European animation declined. Broadcasters were praised for supporting the industry, with a rise in female-led and adult-oriented content featured this year.

LGBTQ Representation: GLAAD Releases Latest Media Report 
GLAAD's 12th annual Studio Responsibility Index showed that while prominent LGBTQ characters increased, films with LGBTQ representation dropped in 2023, along with declines in transgender and disabled character portrayals.

Sharing Viewership Stats: Netflix Co-CEO Pushes for Transparency 
At the Fast Company Innovation Festival, Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos stressed the importance of transparency in viewer data, urging other streamers to follow suit. He highlighted Netflix's global viewership and a shift in focus toward revenue over subscriber growth.
